Could you tell me what the ages are of some of the kids going on the Rocking Horse Ranch trip? I have very young kids, wondering if there will be any other similarly aged children.

My son is 6 years old and he and I are planning to go on this trip. We went the last time and my son had a wonderful time. He befriended a boy who was only 4 years old going on 5. There was a play ground and a fun barn at the ranch which were appropriate for young children. Also, there are several pools - although the indoor one will be the only one open in November (for this specific outting). At the ranch, we also noticed many families with very young kids. Hope that this helps you with your plans.
What seasons are available
Dave–not sure I understand your question. We tend to go here just before Thanksgiving and just before Easter!
Do you see many 11 year olds on these trips?
The bulk of the kids are between 7 and 14 on most of our trips and the number of each age will vary and sometimes it will be younger.
Right now, we have 7 10-year olds and 6 11-year olds on this trip.

Is this trip sold out?
Not yet ksampson….right now there are two rooms left in my allotment, but I suspect I can get a few more if needed.

I am not sure of the date yet, but yes it will be offered in the spring.
Would love to know how the trip went. Can anyone post pix? Considering taking my 8 yr old for X-mas. Read some negative reviews online on tripadvisor, so wanted some more feedback. Any single parents going there during X-mas?
The trip went great. You should have joined us. I will be posting a recap of the trip in a day or so (need to catch up on some paperwork first) and will have some photos.
Trips Advisor–eh, I do not give too much credit to the site. The minuses I heard were the pool was too chlorinated and the bathrooms and towels could use an update. However, they just redid the rooms and the food is great as they are a CIA testing ground.
We are going again in March–tentative dates are 27th to 29th..
Thanks for the info. Actually, I see I was writing about the wrong dude ranch. I meant Pinegrove, so never mind, although. there are mixed reviews of both places on that site. Went to both as a kid, but now that I’m the one paying, want to make sure I don’t get the short end of the stick.
