A Single Dad Is My Hero

This guy, Matt Logelin, has suffered incredible tragedy. In a matter of 27 hours he saw the birth of his daughter Madeline and the death of his wife Liz.

He is a hero to me, because he has decided to tackle the issues head on and live (as sadly as it may be) for his daughter. Sure there was grief and profound sadness, but Matt has turned this into something good. He established the Liz Logelin Foundation to offer support to single widowed parents.   Matt tells his story on his blog and on this short video. It is well worth the time to watch and if at all possible, to offer support to this great cause.

I will not pretend to imagine what the loss of a spouse must feel like, and I certainly cannot imagine what Matt has been through in the past 9 months!
