When we plan a trip, we try to make sure that each trip is three trips in one. One for the family of course, one for the parent, and one for the child. There needs to be separate time for each. We also strive to include an educational component in each trip. It might be experiencing a different culture or food, or learning about the history of a destination.
We are mindful of the costs involved with traveling. We travel extensively ourselves and identify the destinations and properties that are truly kid and single parent friendly. The mere presence of a “kid club” and a few board games does not make a property kid friendly. We also strive to negotiate pricing breaks with the hotels, resorts and cruise lines.
And finally, we are here to offer advice. We regularly write columns with tips and tricks, and have an active blog all dealing with the trials and tribulations of being a single parent today! Come join our family!
