Also, you may want to see if there is one of those places in your area that takes donations of formal wear (like prom dresses, etc) and try them or the thrift shop – sometimes a simple hem from gown to tea length or shorter is all a dress needs to freshen it up.

My boys (now 7 & 10) broke the connector on the tv which brings up the picture from the Wii onto the tv screen. They immediately came into me and told me the tv broke and we needed a new one. I asked them why they were coming to me since I was not the one that broke the tv, I don’t see why I should be the one to replace it. From that point, we (mostly they) started to sell their stuff – we sold buckets of their old books on craigs list, the toys they no longer wanted on ebay, etc. I took over a year, but they just purchased a new 48″ tv. I must say, they have a better idea now of money and they can’t wait for their next garage sale this spring.

Yes, I have one of those. Honor student…great friends…a critical thinker…ask her the simplest thing…no clue. It’s definitely developmental…going from the concrete to the abstract to actually putting it into practice…ON HER OWN…with the thought of being JUDGED!!! Dag, what a weight on a teen who’s going through all the other emotional/developmental crap.

Hi Lisa-

Yes there are activities and staff to handle toddlers. However, there is a charge (I am thinking $4/hour but please don’t hold me to it). They have crafts, activities, games and more. The little guys can do pony rides but not the trail rides till they are 7. All of the other activities–bonfire, marshmallow roast, pie eating, shows, etc are all inclusive for them as well–it is up to you to determine if it is appropriate for the age and weather.

Thanks John for the snow pictures. Down in the deep south (Houston) that’s just plain exciting. It snows here about every 10 years and you have to keep your eyes on it if you want to see it on the ground because it will be gone in a flash.
Is that your daughter learning sign language? Keep up the good work, she’ll be well-rounded )

Passports are not required since it is considered a “closed loop” cruise; but strongly recommended. Absent a Passport, you (adult) will need a government issued photo id and an original raised seal birth certificate issued by a government–not a hospital. There are some other options for the second form of ID if needed.

For your son, his original raised seal birth certificate will be required. While the permission letter is not required, again, it is strongly suggested to get it if at all possible and if not possible, there is an affadavit that you can sign stating that you were unable to get the signature.
